Christine Milton
PA
I am Simon’s PA having worked for him now for almost 15 years. Growing up I was a national standard swimmer and loved all sport, both watching and participating. I enjoy travel and have been fortunate enough to have travelled to many places throughout the World. I have been married to my husband George for 36 year and we two sons, a daughter and a daughter in law. I am a very family orientated person.
I left school aged 16 and worked for the BBC and then for IBA. I attended day release studying for an ONC and an HNC in business studies before giving up work to have my family. I came to work for Simon Moyes once my children had all started secondary school having worked part time for a private orthopaedic surgeon locally for fourteen years whilst the children were young.
I have really learnt on the job as it were. Other than basic health and safety and life support which all employees are required to undertake I do not have any formal medical training, just a business style, organised brain. I consider myself to have a “degree of life”, I am not a doctor, I try to be friendly, helpful and reassuring to patients and my life experiences help me perform my job. We all have a good relationship within the team and support each other. I am able to speak “layman’s terms” to patients and offer time and compassion wherever possible. As the first point of contact for any patient, reassurance, help and efficiency are keys to my position within the team along with understanding and caring for Simon.
