About Capital Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine

We are a leading private orthopaedic
and sports medicine practice in London, specialising in arthroscopic surgery

Whatever your musculoskeletal ailment, our mission is to make you better with the most advanced medical treatments and, if necessary, minimally invasive procedures. We specialise in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery in London. This highly sophisticated technique means you spend less time in hospital and are more likely to make a quick recovery. Our principal Mr Simon Moyes pioneered the use of keyhole surgery in shoulders and ankles and is one of the most in-demand orthopaedic surgeons in the world.

Based at the world-renowned Cromwell Hospital in London, our clinic facilities are state-of-the art.

We use the latest and most advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies in London including ultrasound, CT scanners, three ambient MRI scanners (two at the hospital and one at the hospital’s outpatient centre in the City, Basinghall Clinic), minimally invasive implants, robotics and shockwave therapy. We continue to use Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) and cellular therapies for treatment of Osteoarthritis and to augment surgical procedures.

Capital Orthopaedics is open for business – offering remote and face-to-face consultations to new and existing patients.

From your initial consultation, through to diagnosis and treatment plans, you can now visit Simon Moyes and the Capital Orthopaedics team. With appropriate PPE and distancing in place, we are able to coordinate appropriate imaging and follow-up on the same day at The Cromwell Hospital or The Basinghall Clinic.

Physical therapy and injections can also be organised, if required. If you need surgery, you can pre-book now, and be ready for when theatres are available. We continue to be dedicated to providing a caring and efficient service working to ensure that you are seen, imaged, and reviewed in the shortest possible period of time. That means, when you ring up, the phone is always answered, and if you need an appointment the same day, we will make every effort to fit you in. Relevant imaging can almost invariably be done at that visit, including Ultrasound and MRI.
