Consultant anaesthetist
Dr Ram Krishnan has been working with Simon Moyes for two years. He specialises in orthopaedic anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia, regional anaesthesia (ultrasound guided nerve blocks) and long-term venous access, including PICC and Hickman line insertion.
Having graduated from Madras Medical College in India, he completed six years of anaesthetic training at the prestigious PGMIR hospital in Chandigarh.
Dr Ram came to the UK to further his career, and worked in London at Great Ormond Street Hospital (Advanced Paediatric Anaesthesia), Royal Brompton Hospital (Paediatric Cardiac Anaesthesia), Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, University College Hospital and Royal Free Hospital.
He was appointed consultant anaesthetist at Great Ormond Street Hospital in 2010, before moving to Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore.
He is a keen cyclist and enjoys running. He is also involved in the Healing Little Hearts charity that provides free cardiac surgery for children in developing countries – and recently joined a team in India, performing operations on underprivileged children with congenital heart disease.
